Speaker:

Welcome to Women in the Coaching Arena.

2

:

In today's episode, I'm joined by Lina,

a finance coach, who made the bold

3

:

move to come back to her original true

niche after years of resisting it.

4

:

Lina was originally a trained accountant

and ran a successful accountancy

5

:

practice in London for over a decade.

6

:

But after burning out, she shifted

into business coaching until

7

:

something didn't feel quite right.

8

:

In this conversation, you will hear how

she found clarity inside the business

9

:

of coaching program, rediscovered

her niche and started to build a

10

:

business that finally feels like hers.

11

:

One that's grounded in both

her skills and her mission.

12

:

If you have been second guessing your

niche or your path, or holding back

13

:

from showing up fully, then I hope

you gain a lot from this conversation.

14

:

Hi Lina.

15

:

Thank you so much for agreeing to be a

case study on my website and podcast.

16

:

I'm really excited for this conversation

because I feel like you are, a closed book

17

:

sometimes and I don't get to hear all of

the amazing things that you are doing.

18

:

So cannot wait to talk.

19

:

Please share a bit about you.

20

:

So thank you for asking for review.

21

:

So my name is Lina.

22

:

I'm a finance coach.

23

:

I also mentor people

especially in small businesses.

24

:

I teach them to manage their

books to understand more about,

25

:

what's happening in their books.

26

:

And I help them with, pricing

strategies, money mindset, which

27

:

is a big thing when we are scaling.

28

:

So, yes, I help them with

logical side as well as mental

29

:

side of handling everything.

30

:

You've made a big difference to me.

31

:

People I'm sure will gather throughout

the conversation that you've helped

32

:

me masses with my finances, thinking

back to when you decided to join the

33

:

business of coaching, can you remember

what was going on for you at that time?

34

:

Yeah, I remember that very well.

35

:

It was, October 24 and, I

was, doing business coaching.

36

:

To tell the listeners more about,

myself, I am an qualified accountant.

37

:

I had my accountancy practice

in London for 12 years.

38

:

So I have total experience of working

with businesses and, finances for

39

:

20 years now, like employments

and my accountancy practice.

40

:

So it was for me very natural thing to

become a finance and money mindset coach

41

:

after selling my accountancy practice.

42

:

But when I became coach, I was also

a bit burnout coach, because after

43

:

I sold my accountancy practice,

I realized I needed more rest.

44

:

So I wasn't doing much in that field.

45

:

I had my website I started,

posting a little bit on social

46

:

media, but I wasn't doing much.

47

:

During that time, I also felt

like, okay, money isn't the topic

48

:

that I want to work with people.

49

:

I thought of it as more surface

thing, I was already doing deeper work

50

:

with my clients and, I am, in self

development for the last 17 years, and

51

:

so I undergone like myself, lots of

changes and like changes of identity.

52

:

So I thought money is somehow.

53

:

Not good enough, on its

own to work with people.

54

:

I wanted something more meaningful, I

switched from money mindset coach, from

55

:

finance coach to business coaching.

56

:

I.

57

:

Started to work only with women

and did that for two years.

58

:

Things were quite good,

but not good enough for me.

59

:

I remember last summer I sold my

business coaching group program.

60

:

We started the program in September, but

then in October I sat down and I review

61

:

my finance for the past, few months and

I look at my figures and I thought, no,

62

:

this is not how I want things to be.

63

:

I realized I wanted a little bit more,

and I've also realized that something is

64

:

missing because if I am such a good coach,

and I and my clients are very happy.

65

:

I have very good reviews.

66

:

Something is missing because

obviously I'm not selling

67

:

especially my one-to-one programs.

68

:

I was following you for more than a year.

69

:

Listening to your podcast and

I told you already a few times,

70

:

before you was like my lighthouse.

71

:

I was listening to every single

episode and I was like, yeah, Jonna

72

:

brings this peace into my life.

73

:

And I loved your energy, I loved

everything you talked about.

74

:

You've encouraged me.

75

:

You motivated me silently.

76

:

You know, we were not working together

and I was reading your newsletters too.

77

:

And I never thought, I'm actually

gonna sign up with you because

78

:

I thought, I know so much.

79

:

You know, I've been in.

80

:

Coaching for four years

before joining your program.

81

:

So I thought, I know about email

sequence, I know about marketing

82

:

things, I never thought until I received

that email from you, that one email,

83

:

which was I think sharing, previous,

84

:

business of coaching clients I

received that one email, and after

85

:

reviewing my finances, I thought,

no, Lina, you have to do something.

86

:

You have to invest more into this.

87

:

I just made the decision that

because I knew you, so I knew it's

88

:

gonna be you i'm gonna work with.

89

:

Yeah.

90

:

Oh, I love the story.

91

:

That's so good to hear.

92

:

'Cause I remember receiving the email from

you at what I felt was out of the blue,

93

:

which clearly wasn't out the blue, but I

think it was very close to you signing up.

94

:

I don't think we'd had many exchanges.

95

:

So yeah, it's a great reminder for

us all that there are people silently

96

:

watching and gaining from all of

the work we do in our marketing.

97

:

So thank you for that great reminder.

98

:

What was the biggest impact for you,

or what particularly did you enjoy?

99

:

The biggest impact for me the

main one which I think is going to

100

:

shape my future is, that I actually

converted back to finance coaching.

101

:

I remember when I filled the sheets for

you, the workbooks, you know, in the

102

:

first first session, before first session.

103

:

And then when you said, you

emailed me saying like, Lina,

104

:

you should be a finance coach.

105

:

You know, it's like your whole

life revolves around numbers.

106

:

I wasn't sure, and I remember we talked

in weekly sessions and when I completed

107

:

more worksheets, I still wasn't sure

I should go back to finances because I

108

:

thought it's only scratching the surface.

109

:

And I'm like this deep person,

I like this deeper work.

110

:

So it took me a while to

reconnect, but once I did.

111

:

Everything made much more sense.

112

:

When I started to extract my

own story, my, things that

113

:

I post, it felt so natural.

114

:

I never ran out of ideas to talk

about my topic because it's like

115

:

ingrained, it's like in my blood.

116

:

So this is the main thing I'm taking from

the program because if I just continued

117

:

as a business coach, I don't think I

would feel as good as I'm feeling now.

118

:

And even there is a lot of work still

to do and it's a long term game.

119

:

The most thing that I'm taking from

the program is that, you directed me

120

:

back to the finance coaching where

I feel like I'm in my right shoes.

121

:

Yeah, totally.

122

:

People talk about alignment all

the time and half the time I

123

:

think, what does that really mean?

124

:

Or what does it feel like?

125

:

But when I see you now, it's

just like everything's so easy.

126

:

You've grown so much of an amazing

LinkedIn follower base, real connections.

127

:

You've really lit up, since

discovering your niche.

128

:

Yes.

129

:

And then, also LinkedIn, because no

way I would've dared to go on LinkedIn

130

:

without a support group that's another

big reason why I joined, your program,

131

:

I knew you are on LinkedIn for me,

that platform was like Facebook is

132

:

Facebook, Instagram is Instagram.

133

:

It's like, you know, it's like a

sitting room, but LinkedIn, it's like

134

:

an office and I would've never did.

135

:

And.

136

:

I posted both few days ago saying

that I found my, I found where I

137

:

belong finally, because LinkedIn

is the place where I belong.

138

:

I need business people, like my

clients, will be business people

139

:

or people who are high income

earnest, like in, in corporate.

140

:

So this is my audience and, I've been

on other platforms for years and I.

141

:

Never managed to get the same results

as on LinkedIn in such a short time.

142

:

So that shows I'm in the right place.

143

:

I'm very grateful for

stepping into where I.

144

:

Belong in my mission and daring to go

out on LinkedIn and say, look at me.

145

:

Here I am.

146

:

Yeah, you have totally.

147

:

And so if people are listening,

thinking I'm a bit stuck.

148

:

What would be your top pieces of advice?

149

:

It doesn't need to be in terms

of the program, but anything that

150

:

you think were your key moments.

151

:

So first was niching, second

was showing up on LinkedIn.

152

:

Anything else that were key highlights?

153

:

Yeah, so niching is the main one because

even my example shows I went back to

154

:

something that I wanted to do originally.

155

:

Building confidence about this niche and,

connecting with your story, with your

156

:

mission, like look at your life stories

and see why you got to where you are, now.

157

:

we can't do this on our own.

158

:

I built an accountancy firm all by myself.

159

:

I never had a business coach.

160

:

I never had anyone mentoring me.

161

:

I was just this hardworking,

very determined woman who wanted

162

:

to become financially free.

163

:

I loved helping my clients.

164

:

I was very good at what I was doing.

165

:

I was very good at

actually managing people.

166

:

Maybe I could be better

now when I think about it.

167

:

But the thing is, with this particular

business coach and consultancy,

168

:

you cannot do it on your own.

169

:

And this is the lesson I learned a bit too

late because if I sought for help earlier.

170

:

Life would've been much better for me,

because my first two years I did it all by

171

:

myself and I started to doubt this path.

172

:

I started to doubt myself, my ability

because, suddenly you are on your own, and

173

:

then you are not able to generate clients.

174

:

You start to doubt your ability to do it.

175

:

The sooner you get help, the better.

176

:

So get help join the program

177

:

You need to be part of a,

community within this business.

178

:

Love it.

179

:

So yeah, tell me more about what elements

of the program in particular, so was

180

:

it the calls, was it the community?

181

:

Was it any feedback?

182

:

The, chat group, what in particular?

183

:

I think it's a combination of everything.

184

:

The community is amazing.

185

:

You have a lot of support

within the group, and I felt

186

:

very welcomed from the start.

187

:

The additional groups for, LinkedIn

also helped, the fact that you,

188

:

Joanna, share everything about your

journey makes a huge difference.

189

:

You don't fault or hide anything.

190

:

You are very honest and I've learned a lot

191

:

my work, like, some things I will

implement to my work because before

192

:

I was very much like, I need this,

to be very precise, very good

193

:

looking, you know, like to present

to my clients with best qualities.

194

:

And I learned from you to be a bit more

relaxed, more human, this is what I liked.

195

:

It was.

196

:

Not laid back.

197

:

It like a lot of structure in the

program, but also like, yeah, it's fine.

198

:

It's okay.

199

:

It's, you know, so, community, the fact

that, you know, you post anything in the

200

:

Slack group and you get response, from

you, from other supporting members and

201

:

also from, other peers, in the group.

202

:

So the support, the materials were

very good as well, because even

203

:

though I knew many things still, I

watched, videos, I followed the steps.

204

:

I did the workbooks.

205

:

I actually was very curious and

said, okay, I'm joining this program.

206

:

I will forget everything I know and

start as if I don't know anything.

207

:

The amount of resources

you have there is just.

208

:

Unbelievable your program has all the

elements from the start, from your

209

:

marketing message, your niche, email,

even the website or LinkedIn profile.

210

:

So you've covered everything that

we need to kick off our journey.

211

:

Logical side, technical side, and

then the support, which without it,

212

:

you won't get the results that you

get with sharing in the community.

213

:

Yeah, love it.

214

:

And you are always so active, so I miss

you greatly on our calls as well, and

215

:

helping other people in the community.

216

:

So thank you so much.

217

:

Tell me what does your life look like now?

218

:

Is it like eight or nine months

on from joining the program?

219

:

When I joined the program,

I had to do a lot of work.

220

:

LinkedIn was very new to me, so

I spent, a lot of time there.

221

:

I had to change my website

because I changed a niche.

222

:

I did a lot of work, so if someone is

thinking of joining and getting everything

223

:

ready, yes, you get information, you get

support, but it's a lot of work required.

224

:

In this business, you have to be present

online for certain amount of time until

225

:

people actually start trusting you.

226

:

So I knew this from the beginning

and I wasn't obsessed with

227

:

the immediate instant results.

228

:

Even though I have experience

in coaching, I've realized that

229

:

okay, this is my new niche.

230

:

I have the new audience.

231

:

Which is LinkedIn, and I kind of

understood that I'm building it from

232

:

scratch, so I didn't expect, clients

knocking on the door or leads,

233

:

like people asking for my services.

234

:

I didn't expect any of that.

235

:

And, I started to sign my clients.

236

:

Only after I finished the program.

237

:

So the result is that, like I

said, even towards the end of the

238

:

program in April, may, I already

felt like I am very much connected.

239

:

And because I did so much work.

240

:

My website, created, my

email sequence, I didn't.

241

:

Have clients coming in, but I

knew I laid a foundation and

242

:

everything will just start changing.

243

:

Which did in June, I signed up my

first, few clients for finance coaching.

244

:

I signed up clients after

I, left the program.

245

:

Yeah.

246

:

Oh, I love that.

247

:

And totally, normalizing the

fact that there's a lot to build.

248

:

Websites, email nurture sequences,

LinkedIn profiles, marketing materials.

249

:

So it's good for people to know that there

is a lot to build when you start a new

250

:

business, which you did at the beginning

of the program, and that you need to

251

:

put the time in, build the relationships

for those results to start showing up.

252

:

Yes.

253

:

And I think what is also very important

to stay calm and to remember that you're

254

:

not gonna get clients from day one.

255

:

You're not gonna get clients from

month one, especially depending on

256

:

how long you've been on this journey.

257

:

Community helps for this mindset,

but you have to manage your

258

:

expectations because it's easy to

think, okay, no one is buying from me.

259

:

No one, yes, because there are

way too many people offering how.

260

:

On earth, your clients will know that

you are who will deliver them results.

261

:

So I think this trust in yourself, trust

in the process, and believing in it.

262

:

It's like main ingredients.

263

:

Yeah.

264

:

Love it.

265

:

Thank you.

266

:

You are a good role model for that.

267

:

How would you describe your

experience of working with me?

268

:

Like I said before,

Janna, I love your energy.

269

:

I love the fact that you are very open

about everything and the fact that you.

270

:

Like you say, your mission is

build your business without hyping

271

:

I really dislike people who say,

build your seven figure businesses.

272

:

I really don't like this type of

hyping, and that's what I liked

273

:

about you, honesty openness.

274

:

You are also very friendly.

275

:

You are a very warm person and I.

276

:

Found that energetically we kind of align.

277

:

This is how we choose our business

coaches, all the programs, because whoever

278

:

is leading the program is the main person.

279

:

And I loved you, not

even liked you, you know.

280

:

Thank you so much.

281

:

That's so nice to hear.

282

:

You really were all in I don't

think you missed any calls.

283

:

You were always there in the community.

284

:

It's just such a joy when someone shows

up, does the work, shows up to the

285

:

program, you really were all in and

that's why you are gaining all of the

286

:

results and you are in such alignment now.

287

:

It's been six months and during

those six months, you get high,

288

:

you get low, you get everything.

289

:

If you don't show up for the course,

or if you don't show up at all, like

290

:

for your work, you know, you, you,

how likely you are achieve results.

291

:

So, it was hard work for me and,

it has everything one needs.

292

:

As long as the person is curious and open

to take that all in and to commit and

293

:

show up, we can have really good results.

294

:

Love it.

295

:

Thank you so much.

296

:

So your biggest takeaway from the program?

297

:

Rediscovering my niche and trusting you

on that one because I know I resisted for

298

:

a month on going back and I'm glad I did.

299

:

So that's the biggest, one.

300

:

And yeah, because like I said, it's,

foundational for the rest of my

301

:

life, I assume, because I don't think

I will change anything about it.

302

:

I've also realized, and now I'm doing this

deep work on the money side because it's

303

:

not like scratching the surface and just

teaching the numbers is much more I am

304

:

connected truly with my life's mission.

305

:

I know that.

306

:

So that's the main thing.

307

:

Oh, love it so much.

308

:

And what's next for you, Lina?

309

:

So for me next is, mainly I'm

working with one-to-one clients.

310

:

Maybe I will, launch, group programs.

311

:

But, mainly yes.

312

:

Working one-to-one going

on other people's podcast.

313

:

Talking more about money mindset,

and most importantly, that business

314

:

owners need to learn their numbers.

315

:

That's the main thing.

316

:

I want to spread this message

because business owners feel.

317

:

they are not good with numbers

and we think that we cannot

318

:

learn, which is absolutely untrue

as you are one of examples.

319

:

I just want to spread this message that.

320

:

It's okay to earn more.

321

:

It's okay to want more.

322

:

We can be grateful for what we have,

and at the same time want more only

323

:

meditation or some inner work is not

gonna change your financial status.

324

:

You have to do some steps.

325

:

You need to learn to manage your numbers.

326

:

So I'll just be sharing this message.

327

:

I love it.

328

:

And, yeah, I'm sure, you'll have to

come back on the podcast so I can

329

:

share more about my journey with my

finances, or I might do a solo episode

330

:

of all I've learned from You because,

yeah, like I was Nina's probably ideal

331

:

client or at the end maybe I was, as

in I would avoid looking at my numbers.

332

:

I felt really anxious

speaking to my accountant.

333

:

And I always just thought,

well, that's just the way it is.

334

:

I'm not a numbers person.

335

:

I am intuitive.

336

:

And now my finances are so in order.

337

:

I love thinking, oh,

that's so interesting.

338

:

I made that much from that product,

or I've spent that much on that thing.

339

:

Is that worth it to me?

340

:

I'm becoming way more logical or

being able to use my intuition

341

:

and back it up with evidence.

342

:

That's my mission because,

343

:

as an owner of accountancy practice,

I saw and I worked closely with so

344

:

many small businesses and I saw people

without any education, doing businesses,

345

:

amazing businesses like, growing

huge turnovers, and I saw the block.

346

:

Not understanding their numbers.

347

:

And even though at the time I was

offering it part of my accountancy

348

:

services, not many people were willing

to dig deeper and we were working

349

:

harder and harder to earn income.

350

:

And I think we should be working

smarter and that is only possible

351

:

when we know the numbers.

352

:

So last question.

353

:

Would you recommend the program?

354

:

And if so, who to?

355

:

I would definitely recommend your

program to every coach who is starting

356

:

out or even 2, 3, 4 years like myself

in coaching and feel stuck and, they

357

:

are willing to get the support they

are willing to get new insights on how

358

:

they, you know, run their businesses.

359

:

For new coaches, it's a must.

360

:

Like you, you, you, you finished

your coaching program and you

361

:

think you know everything.

362

:

So I can tell you, you know nothing.

363

:

You just know how to coach people.

364

:

So as soon as you get your diploma

or even before that, just go to

365

:

the business of coaching school

because without it, you most likely.

366

:

Will start doubting yourself,

and step away from this career

367

:

before you even know it.

368

:

Yeah, so true.

369

:

Thank you.

370

:

That's a good reminder that you

don't just lose out in terms of

371

:

finances and not gaining clients.

372

:

You actually lose out in your

entire, identity, self-doubt.

373

:

All of that kicks in and then it takes

so much more work to get to where

374

:

you could have been to begin with.

375

:

Exactly.

376

:

When I think now, if I fought

differently at the time, so let's

377

:

say I joined in 2020 when I started.

378

:

I would be a very different person by

now and would've saved lots of money

379

:

first you don't succeed as you imagine.

380

:

You think you're just gonna write

coach under your profile and people

381

:

will be banging on your door.

382

:

When that doesn't happen and when you

had a successful career before you,

383

:

you just start doubting yourself.

384

:

You start doubting your

own mind, you know?

385

:

And then to come out of that,

like you said you need to invest

386

:

in therapy, or another coach to

recover from this loss that you had.

387

:

You know, because suddenly

this experienced woman, like in

388

:

my case, earning high income,

working with all these business

389

:

people and having so much money.

390

:

Suddenly you cannot generate clients

but then there's nothing wrong with me.

391

:

It's the way I look at it or the

way I market myself, or the fact

392

:

that we have to market ourselves.

393

:

And like I said before, I

would've not even stepped onto

394

:

LinkedIn without this program.

395

:

No chance.

396

:

To go out there as coaches to say,

look how good I am, or like by

397

:

my services it's, we need another

program for that, just for doing it,

398

:

so Lina, I know we started working

together after I completed your quiz

399

:

and had a market research call with you.

400

:

So if you ever resist market research

calls, just know that I signed up to

401

:

Lina because her offer was too good to

resist, even though I had helped her

402

:

create it, because when she got on the

phone to me after completing her quiz.

403

:

I realized it was exactly what I needed.

404

:

Share more about your quiz and how

people can get clarity on their own money

405

:

mistakes and how they can overcome them.

406

:

Okay, so first of all, I realized what

is happening, with business owners.

407

:

They think they know things and

they don't know what we don't know.

408

:

So I've created quiz to actually show them

where they are at with their finances.

409

:

The quiz is called, how well you

Manage Your Business Finances.

410

:

It'll help you uncover potential

money, mistakes you might not

411

:

realize you are making, and get

actionable insights to fix them.

412

:

People completing my quiz they

said they realized straight away

413

:

the areas that we need to improve.

414

:

So by just completing the quiz,

we became more aware about

415

:

like how to manage finances.

416

:

So even if you never buy from me

you become more aware and that's

417

:

what you need if you want to grow.

418

:

So take the quiz and see where

you are at with your finances.

419

:

Totally.

420

:

Thank you so much Lina.

421

:

Do head over to the show notes and

download Lina's quiz and you can connect

422

:

with Lina on LinkedIn, is that correct?

423

:

How will they find you?

424

:

Yes, LinkedIn.

425

:

So it's my name Lina Rimasauskiene

or my website Linacoaching.co.uk.

426

:

But I'm very active on LinkedIn.

427

:

Love it.

428

:

Thank you so much, Lina.

429

:

It was a pleasure to work with you and I

cannot wait to see your future journey.

430

:

If Lina's story resonated and if

you are holding back from owning

431

:

your niche or not seeing the results

you expected despite working hard,

432

:

it might be time for a rethink.

433

:

You will find all of the links

to connect with Lina and take her

434

:

finance quiz in the show notes.

435

:

And if you are ready to find

the clarity and momentum that

436

:

Lena has talked about inside my

program, the business of coaching.

437

:

This might be your next step too.

438

:

If you are listening to this episode

around its release date, there are

439

:

currently at the time of recording,
